Content as an adjective is defined as “in a state of peaceful happiness.” As a noun content is defined as a “state of satisfaction.” I just got off an appointment with my therapist, who is amazing, btw. I’m so blessed I got connected with her! …
Say what?! Who says they are so happy to see the police? Well I did.
Last week in our new home, I had taken the dogs out back before McNeill Propane was to come. Maizey decided to go #2 so I went to get a “poop bag” only to discover the door was locked!
Panic started to set in. WTH?! I went around front and McNeill guys had just pulled in. Oh boy. I’m not sure what the heck to do. I informed them of what just happened. They were so nice and understanding! And both proceeded to think of whom to call to assist me.
Did I mention I didn’t have my phone? So they were kind enough to let me use theirs and give me locksmith numbers to try. No luck. Either they did not do this sort of thing or were nowhere nearby.
The very sweet, older gentleman had been a firefighter in the county for nearly 60 years. He proceeded to call everyone he knew. Finally, he had some luck with the town police who said they would dispatch someone to assist. Once that was known they felt comfortable leaving me.
In less than 10 minutes, an officer showed up. Hurray!
And, then another officer arrived! Wow. Definitely says something about living in a small town! Never was I so happy to see the police!
They proceeded to assist in getting me back into my home, out of the heat, safely back inside with the dogs. I am forever grateful – for the kindness of the McNeill gentlemen and the prompt arrival and assistance of the police!
