Today, January 12, there\u2019s more talk about impending POSSIBLE snow here in NC this coming weekend. Even 2 days ago there was a post from The Weather Channel about it and everybody started to go crazy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One guy who keeps it real on his weather Facebook page, which I love (his page and that he keeps it real), says we could get 0-85 inches of snow; it could be snowpocalypse or a beautiful day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funny how it\u2019s still just Wednesday and the weather event is not estimated to happen till Saturday night\/Sunday \u2013 several days away \u2013 and people are freaking out. Supposedly, the stores are crazy as people go nuts buying all-the-things over a few snow flakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While that\u2019s amusing, think about how that translates to our own lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How there can be something that isn\u2019t even planned, even an appointment on the calendar, not even close to happening, but there MAY be a possibility of that something and we start to obsess about it, freak out, worry, and conjecture. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s something that\u2019s still days away, maybe weeks or even months and that POSSIBLE something is already consuming worrying us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you ever had that happen?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where you spent all this time, energy, and brain power worrying and then it doesn\u2019t even happen or come to fruition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Think about all the time, energy, and worry for nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is something I\u2019ve been working on since last April. I had left my job without another and wondered how I could take time off, how much time off, if we\u2019d be ok financially, and what would be next (just to name a few!). Then we found out we were moving anyhow!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I worried about selling our house, and buying a house. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

One technique I did to help during that stressful, uncertain time was to have a mantra of \u201cit\u2019s all going to work out.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If I would start down that what if path, I\u2019d stop and say \u201cit\u2019s all going to work out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And look, now here we are \u2013 everything has worked out \u2013 and honestly worked out really well \u2013 maybe even better than I could\u2019ve planned!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think this is such a good thing to keep in mind. Because it\u2019s so easy to get sucked into worry, conjecture and what-ifs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being more present, living in the moment and most of the time things work out and it\u2019s amazing and awesome! And, maybe even better than you could\u2019ve imagined!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
