So I did a thing \u2026.I bought a stand-up paddleboard or SUP! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are 8 lakes in our Village that residents can use. One of the largest lakes is just over a mile from our house! So it made sense to buy a SUP to take advantage of being near water. Growing up very near Lake Erie, I\u2019ve missed the water in Colorado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s the thing though \u2013 I need to get out on it! I\u2019ve learned how to get it ready to use like putting the fin on and attaching the leash. I\u2019ve watched videos to know how to load it onto my car to transport it. I even found a \u201clearn how to SUP in 5 minutes\u201d video! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have SUPed a few times before but it\u2019s been a while. Certainly there\u2019s some perfectionism going on here as well as wanting know, or at least look like I know, what I am doing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, I can keep watching videos and thinking through it all but there comes a point where I just gotta go do it! Right?! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you encountered anything in your life like that? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think there are many things that we can learn, train and so on but at some point you just gotta get out there and do it! Most of the time we worry about what others will see or think, but remember, most people are focused on themselves, not you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
