Time is flying by! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">I am still cruising along here following the Couch to 5k plan. You can check that out <a href=\"https:\/\/c25k.com\/c25k_plan\/\" title=\"\">here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Since my last <a href=\"https:\/\/liveplayrun.com\/?p=1308\" title=\"\">post <\/a>I\u2019ve made some progress! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">As of my last post I just did the first workout of week 4 on July 4th. And sometimes you just gotta take it! I had been feeling pretty good and went for it. During the workout I felt great. Later on, my left foot was feeling it and even the next morning. I definitely had symptoms of plantar fasciitis. I stretched a lot and used a frozen golfball rolling the bottom of my foot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">That workout was also done early in the morning before work and thus done on the road. I\u2019ve been doing most of my runs lately on nearby Nick\u2019s Creek Greenway which is much softer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Fortunately, within the next day my left foot\/heel was much better. I think that\u2019s a great part of being an athlete. You know your body. I know this is part of my body getting used to running again and I\u2019m feeling quite strong otherwise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">So I continued on to week 6 of the c25k program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Week 6 also has 3 different workouts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Workout 1 after 5 minute walk warm-up:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">5 minutes running<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">3 minutes walking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">8 minutes running<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">3 minutes walking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">5 minutes running<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Again I felt good during and even after. My left foot felt a little achy again but I did the same TLC and the day after it felt pretty good. I did a strength workout and challenging peloton ride. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">This morning I completed workout 2 of week 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">5 minute walk warmup (actually did 10 to walk over to the trail)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">10 minutes running <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">3 minutes walking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">10 minutes running<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">So far everything is feeling a-ok! And then week 7 that\u2019s all the 3 workouts are \u2013 25 minutes of running. Then only 2 more weeks left (8 & 9). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">I\u2019m mentally ready and physically feeling strong. It\u2019s keeping up with the PT exercises and taking it easy as well. And hoping these feet hold up! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">At times it could be easy to give up or think how I used to run so much farther and faster and with ease. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"680\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/image.webp?resize=1024%2C680&ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1370\" style=\"width:361px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/image.webp?w=1024&ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/image.webp?resize=300%2C199&ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/image.webp?resize=768%2C510&ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Or I could think how I have goals of getting back into trail and ultra distances (that\u2019s anything longer than a marathon, like 50ks, 50 milers, 100ks, 100 milers +) and how I\u2019m \u201conly\u201d running 20 minutes and that I\u2019ll never get there\u2026.or maybe in ??? years! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">However I think back to less than 2 months ago I just started running again and was just doing a total of 8 minutes in 1 minute intervals and now today two 10 minutes for a total of 20 minutes of running \u2026.so that\u2019s progress!!! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">I\u2019m choosing to focus on that. Dreaming my trail dreams and goals. And continuing to move forward one day, one workout, at a time. It\u2019s definitely not always easy. What\u2019s the alternative? To quit, yet still have these dreams living inside me and one day have big regrets? I hope to inspire or give someone hope whether that\u2019s in running, general health, business, relationships.
