I felt good after\u2026no pain! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Couch to 5k (C25k) week 2 workouts consist of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">5 minute warm-up walk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Then 6 repetitions of 90 seconds running and 2 minutes walking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">So that\u2019s a total of 9 minutes running, just 1 more minute than week 1<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The following Monday I did workout 2 of week 2 which was the same exact workout. It was a rainy early morning. After my right foot didn\u2019t hurt but it didn\u2019t feel fine. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/image.webp?resize=1024%2C684&ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1271\" style=\"width:351px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/image.webp?w=1024&ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/image.webp?resize=300%2C200&ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/image.webp?resize=768%2C513&ssl=1 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">In retrospect, with the rain, I wasn\u2019t paying as much attention to my form and also was probably running a bit faster as well. There is nothing like running in the rain to make you feel like a badass!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">I pressed on and Wednesday did workout 3 of week 2, the same workout. Again, I wasn\u2019t necessarily feeling pain in the foot but it felt like a tingling or pulsing feeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">At my last PT appointment (May 31) prior to this, Jen had said I could probably start coming every other week. I said I\u2019d see how it goes and evaluate. From the above after Monday I was unsure and then after Wednesday how I felt I kept my appointment and saw her June 6. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">She tested me and checked things. For once my neck has been feeling fine and she even commented it wasn\u2019t tight. And, I was testing with the same strength and \u201chadn\u2019t lost anything.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">It could be my body getting used to running again and also with my \u201cstrong pattern\u201d it\u2019s like my body is fighting. Running is repetitive and the right side is pulling. I\u2019m staying on my right side longer which is putting pressure on that foot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">So it seems this will be slow going. She said I could keep running \u2013 definitely not progress to week 3 of C25k training \u2013 and perhaps go back to week 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">While I thought oh I have this plan all laid out I will follow and by end of July perhaps be ready for a 5k\u2026what\u2019s that saying \u201cmake plans and God laughs\u2026\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">However in reality this is part of SOME plan \u2026I am doing my best to keep believing in that.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_0610.jpeg?resize=768%2C1024&ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1273\" style=\"width:257px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_0610-scaled.jpeg?resize=768%2C1024&ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_0610-scaled.jpeg?resize=225%2C300&ssl=1 225w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_0610-scaled.jpeg?resize=1152%2C1536&ssl=1 1152w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_0610-scaled.jpeg?resize=1536%2C2048&ssl=1 1536w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/liveplayrun.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/IMG_0610-scaled.jpeg?w=1920&ssl=1 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">I then took Thursday and Friday off running. Thursday I did lift and ride the peloton bike and Friday went for a long walk on Emerald Isle beach (so beautiful!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Saturday I went back to the workout of week 1 of C25k : walk 5 minutes, and 8 x (60 seconds running, 90 seconds walking). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Mostly there were sore lower legs and both feet \u2013 from walking on the beach \u2013 I\u2019ll take that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Again, this seems that it\u2019s going to be \u201ctouch and go\u201d and slow-going\u2026I can\u2019t help but wonder if I should throw in the towel. Yet, I know what running does for me \u2026. it does so much\u2026.physically, mentally. It\u2019s been a huge part of me and my life for many, many years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Another recent example is I had a bad dream and woke up with that bad feeling, hard to shake and I knew I just had to get outside and get moving. That\u2019s part of what running does for me \u2013 turns my mood around \u2013 helps shake the negative sense off and changes my energy for the better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Back to the beginning and start again it\u2019s been. I have now repeated week 1, all three workouts.
